Math Blast 2007: Student

Are you a junior or senior in high
school or a community college or university student considering a
career in education?
Are you interested in receiving “hands-on” teaching experience
working with upper elementary school students?
If you answered yes to the above, then join us as a paid tutor
($12/hr) for Summer Teach. Summer Teach is a program that brings
together exceptional K-12 teachers and future educators to create an
educational setting that will engage incoming fourth grade students
in a variety of activities to strengthen and expand their
mathematical knowledge and problem solving skills. The participating
tutors will receive training and supervision from K-12 teachers and
will work with small groups (2 –4) of students.
Details
Where: Green River Community College, Enumclaw Campus
When: July 14th - July 31st, 2008, approximately 5 hours per
day (8:00 am – 1:00 pm) Monday-Thursday, plus training one week
prior
Who: Tutors from GRCC and area high schools and community
colleges, teachers and students from the local school districts
